Thiot Ingénierie est une PME lotoise (38 salariés) qui a développé depuis plus de 30 ans une expertise en physique des chocs mécaniques à grande vitesse pour l’Aéronautique, la Défense et le Spatial. L’entreprise fournit des moyens d’essais spécifiques et de prestations en balistique terminale et en comportement des matériaux sous choc, pour des études de durcissement des structures. Le projet vise à renforcer les capacités d’investigation de l’entreprise sur les attentats, les autres risques d’explosion, et sur les moyens de s’en protéger. Il vise également à remplacer progressivement les activités Aéro par extension de l’expertise détenue vers les explosions et leurs effets sur les structures (marché plus large). Cela se traduirait par une diversification vers le génie civil et l’énergie.
