Technological Advancement for Enhanced Productivity and Market Share in Aerospace Manufacturing

Timet Savoie is an ETI located in Savoie in Ugine that designs and manufactures semi-finished titanium products for the aeronautics industry. In 2019, it employed 170 employees and achieved a turnover of €120 million, 50% of which was exported and 95% in the aeronautics sector. Timet Savoie est une ETI située en Savoie à Ugine qui conçoit et fabrique des semi produits en Titane pour l’aéronautique. En 2019, elle emploie 170 salariés et réalise un CA de 120M€ dont 50% à l’export et 95% dans le secteur aéronautique. Ce projet s’adresse au marché aéronautique, avec une concurrence majoritairement étrangère. Le projet consiste à effectuer une rupture technologique sur l’usinage et le contrôle des produits : • Un tour à commande numérique intégrant un contrôle tridimensionnel remplacera les tours conventionnels à centrage manuel • Un poste de contrôle automatique par Courant de Foucault sur produit juste usiné remplacera le contrôle humain de produit décapé chimiquement après usinage. Cette rupture technologique permettra de gagner en sécurité, productivité, prix de revient, part de marché et entrainera une montée en compétence du personnel. Timet Savoie compte revenir d’ici 2025 au CA de 2019, 10% et 25% de ce CA pourrit être liée à ce projet en fonction de la demande client en 2025. Le développement de l’entreprise pourrait permettre de revenir au niveau d’emploi de 2019.
