Development of a methodology (test, measurement, analysis) to characterize the BEhaviour of composite structures under DYNamic loading

BEDYN

The BEDYN project aimed to advance the understanding of composite materials under dynamic loading conditions. Funded by the EU, the project focused on developing a comprehensive methodology that included innovative testing, measurement, and analysis techniques to characterize the dynamic behavior of composite structures until they rupture. The project leveraged simulations to prepare and analyze these tests, ultimately creating a simulation methodology that demonstrated predictive capabilities. These efforts were crucial in providing insights into how composite materials behave under pressure, enhancing their application in structural contexts. This research has paved the way for more reliable and efficient use of composites in construction and other industries, ensuring better performance and safety of structures subjected to dynamic loads.
