Take Off Call 2024

In order to realize the European and national climate targets, the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection (BMK) is focusing on a holistic transformation of the mobility sector. The aim is to promote technical, social and organisational innovations in order to not only contribute to the development of new business models, but also to enable a sustainable transformation of the mobility sector. A key pillar of these endeavors is the financial support of research, technology and innovation, particularly in the context of fundamental issues relating to sustainable aviation.

Various targeted instruments are used to implement the research, technology and innovation (RTI) measures and to achieve the goals of the RTI Strategy for Aviation 2040+. These include exploratory projects for elaborating ideas and preparing R&D projects, cooperative R&D projects, flagship projects, qualification networks and networking measures.

Take Off is the main initiative of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) to achieve the goals of the Austrian RTI Strategy Aviation 2040+.

The BMK is pursuing the following operational goals with the Take Off Call 2024:
