University
Founded in 1993, the École des Mines of Albi is an undergraduate training institution for engineers administered by the French Ministry of Industry. It belongs to both the Institut Mines- Telécom, which is the first French group of higher education in engineering and management, and the University of Toulouse. Mines Albi is specialised in the training of general engineers, while its research programme is developed in specific areas of process engineering, equipment and tools and new materials forming, processing, and industrial engineering. Until now the school has bestowed 2100 engineering degrees, 250 PhDs and contributed to the creation of 16 start-up companies.
